Amity Addrisi

Amity joined the Eyewitness News team October of 2005. After producing and being the weekend weather anchor she finally found her place reporting for KBAK reporting. Being a native of the San Fernando Valley she had visited Bakersfield several times before moving here; a place she is now proud to call home. Amity started her news career at KNBC in Los Angeles as an editorial assistant. From there she worked in entertainment at the television show Access Hollywood. Having enough of tinsel town, she escaped to the sunny southern San Joaquin Valley.

Educated at UCLA, she earned a degree in English literature and also loved studying Geology. Her love for the sciences comes across in her passion to cover news stories that deal with the environment. In Kern County there are many issues that make it possible for Amity to pursue environmental stories while covering community issues. She says her job at KBAK is a match made in heaven for her goals as a journalist.

She is constantly inspired by the kindness in this community saying, "It's a big city with a small town heart." Amity looks forward to spending many more years in Kern County building a relationship with the viewers and the community.
