Amy Carabba

Amy Carabba

Amy Carabba joined the 29 Eyewitness News team in August 2007.

Making a move to Bakersfield, Amy brings her experience, professionalism, and yes, personality to Daybreak’s morning show as the spunky reporter, and noon anchor.

Originally from an island in Washington state, she moved to Southern California for school to begin her news career as a reporter and anchor on cable television in San Francisco.

She received her B.A. in Broadcast Journalism at San Francisco State University.

Her next move was working as an anchor/weather anchor and reporter for KCWY in Wyoming. Amy was recently recognized by the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters for the State of Wyoming in 2007 as KCWY's Weekend Anchor.

She loves to wake up early for Daybreak, to make viewers smile, as well as deliver breaking news.

Even though Amy loves snow she is excited to be living back in sunny California and to be working with such a great news team.

On her free time, she enjoy’s spending time with friends and family, exploring big cities, cooking, dancing, and more importantly playing electric guitar! Music is her second passion, even though she’s not good at it.

Amy is always excited for new experiences, friendly faces and is thankful Bakersfield has become her new home!
