By Gloria Bratton

The mailbox mayhem continues as a postal service collection box is stolen in Southwest Bakersfield.

According to the postal inspector, the box was taken late Monday or early Tuesday from the 1400 block of Easton Drive. The thieves may have left the scene quickly after being interrupted by a witness.

The postal service wants to remind you that they are still offering the $10,000 reward if you give information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people involved in these mail thefts.

You can call 877-USMails (877) 876-2455.

The postal service also wants any customers who may have deposited mail at that location after 4 p.m. on Monday and prior to 8 a.m. on Tuesday to submit a mail theft and vandalism complaint at their local post office or at PostalInspectors.USPIS.gov
