Debate on providing ambulance service goes back to Board of Supervisors
The debate over providing ambulance service in the mountain community of Pine Mountain Club goes back before the County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.
It's a story Eyewitness News has been investigating for several months. For years, Pine Mountain residents have complained about getting better emergency response. They want paramedics, especially fire fighter paramedics. A new report by the Director of Emergency Services Department says having paramedics in Pine Mountain could benefit patients a few times a year. If residents to tax themselves for this service, it would cost between $50 dollars to $150 dollars a year. Any assessment like that would need approval by two-thirds of the voters in Pine Mountain Club. The issue is scheduled to go before the County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday. |
